Responsible gambling at Bluebetz

Start playing

Anyone reading this page is usually asking themselves a fair question: is my play still under control? Bluebetz exists as entertainment, not as a way to solve money problems, and this page sets out the tools we offer and where to go if you want help beyond them.

Gambling as entertainment, not income

Treat any bet as the price of the entertainment, not as an investment. If a session is being justified as "getting back to even" or as a way to cover a bill, that reasoning is the first sign worth noticing, not the last.

When play stops being fun

A few concrete behaviours are worth watching for rather than a vague feeling of unease.

  • Chasing losses with bigger stakes than usual
  • Borrowing, or using money set aside for bills, to keep playing
  • Hiding the amount of time or money spent from people close to you
  • Feeling irritable or anxious when not playing
  • Missing work, sleep or other commitments because of play

A short self-check

Answer these honestly rather than as a pass/fail test:

  • Have you tried to cut back and found it harder than expected?
  • Do you play longer or spend more than you planned to?
  • Have you lied to anyone about how much you play?
  • Has play affected your work, studies or relationships?
  • Do you feel restless when you try to stop?
  • Have you needed to gamble with increasing amounts to get the same feeling?

Several "yes" answers are a reasonable prompt to use one of the tools below, or to speak to one of the organisations further down this page.

Limits you can set with us

Self-exclusion

Bluebetz offers self-exclusion, which locks your account for a minimum of six months. You request it by messaging our Customer Support Department from the email address registered to your account, and the exclusion takes effect within 24 hours of that request being received. It cannot be reversed early once it's in place.

Cooling-off period

A shorter 7-day cooling-off period is also available, for a pause rather than a full exclusion. It suits a single bad session or a week where play has felt heavier than usual, without committing to the longer self-exclusion term.

National help lines

Free, confidential support is available whether or not you play with us. GamCare runs the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, free and available 24/7. BeGambleAware offers advice and support tools, and GamStop lets you self-exclude from all licensed gambling sites in the UK at once, free of charge.

For a more sustained programme, Gordon Moody provides residential and online treatment. If you'd rather block access outright, Gamban and the free BetBlocker both work across most devices.

Blocking software

These tools sit outside our platform entirely, which is the point: they stop access even if you change your mind mid-session. Both Gamban and BetBlocker cover browsers and apps, not just one site.

Protecting minors

This site is restricted to players aged 18+. If a device is shared with anyone under that age, parental-control software such as Net Nanny or Qustodio can block gambling sites at the device level, which is a more reliable barrier than account settings alone.

Talking to someone

You can reach us at [email protected] with questions about any of the tools on this page. Gambling should be entertainment, not a chore.

Access to this site is restricted to persons aged 18 and over (18+). Free, confidential support is available at BeGambleAware.org.
